Oakland A’s pitcher Sonny Gray was just activated from the DL for a lat strain. He probably wished he was on the DL tonight as well.

After Brian Dozier homered in the third inning, Minnesota Twins’ standout third baseman Miguel Sano launched a massive 466-foot blast straight into center field.

One of the farthest home runs this season, Sano’s blast went into the Catch restaurant area. If you see it from the view of center field, it was a massive shot. It was Sano’s eighth homer

Things then went from bad to worse for Gray. Jason Castro launched a homer to give the Twins a 4-0 lead. It was a homer that looked incredibly short in comparison to Sano’s but hit the black batters wall. So that homer had to have been close to 430 feet.

So even though Sonny Gray is probably happy he’s back on the mound, he’ll probably be happier in his next start.
