New York Mets color analyst Ron Darling said what countless angry baseball fans were thinking Saturday night.
Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider was ejected in the ninth inning against the Mets for arguing a called strike on Vladimir Guerrero Jr. by home plate umpire Charlie Ramos.
The ejection seemed a bit quick. As Schneider yelled at Ramos from the dugout, the umpire shouted back, “Stop! I’m not going to tell you again! Stop!”
Schneider did not stop, so Ramos gave him an animated ejection motion. As Schneider walked out to continue his argument, Darling joked about the manager’s likely words.
“He’s telling him what a horse-bleep umpire he’s been today,” Darling said.
As an interesting side note, Schneider’s ejection seemed to light a spark under the Blue Jays. Three pitches later, Guerrero Jr. smacked an RBI double to drive in the eventual winning run.
MLB fans had as much fun reacting to the ejection as Darling.
Terrible call but gotta give the Ump credit… that’s a great hook and “Get outtaa heeere”

Umpires honestly shouldn’t have a union at this point. Protecting terrible calls by umpires.

I swear to god the pitch clock has affected the umps more than anyone. They’ve been calling garbage all year.

Seriously? Tell me why the ump even bothers to tell the manager to stop arguing before ejecting him.
I get that disobeying the ump telling him to stop is against the rules, but how many managers care about that?
They are purposely trying to get thrown out of the game anyway.— Scott Hable
