San Diego Padres star Manny Machado hits baseballs very hard, and he showed off that ability against the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday night at Petco Park.
Machado cranked a rocket home run that had a 119.6 mph exit velocity according to Statcast. That’s the fourth-highest exit velocity Statcast has tracked for a home run going back to 2015, and it’s the highest exit velocity on a homer since the New York Yankees’ Giancarlo Stanton hit a 121.3 mph blast on July 25, 2020.
What a laser for Machado’s 22nd dinger of the season.
