Minnesota Twins star Josh Donaldson cranked a go-ahead solo home run in a big game against the AL Central-leading Chicago White Sox (two-game lead over Minnesota) on Thursday, and was ejected while crossing home plate.
Huh? Ejected on a home run? Yep, that really happened.
Donaldson was unhappy about a strike call from home plate umpire Dan Bellino earlier in the at-bat, and kicked some dirt on home plate as he was crossing the plate after hitting a dinger. Bellino tossed Donaldson, who then returned to touch home plate and kick some more dirt on it.
