Today is a big day for Jeremy Guthrie, as it’s both his 38th birthday and his Washington Nationals debut. Well, the day has certainly not gone as he hoped.
The veteran starting pitcher allowed 10 earned runs in 2/3 of an inning to the Philadelphia Phillies:
That is bad. Very, very bad. And it has Guthrie’s ERA at 135.00. Not ideal.
And here’s the most incredible thing: Guthrie has allowed 10 runs in less than an inning another time!
