The Chicago Cubs took down the San Diego Padres 5-4 in 10 innings on Friday night at Petco Park, and the winning run was a wacky one.
All-Star selection and fun-haver Javy Baez stole his 18th base, and the throw from San Diego catcher Austin Hedges went into center field. Baez headed to third base… and then center fielder Manuel Margot bobbled the ball. The Padres’ miscues on the play led the speedy Baez to come all the way around and score the go-ahead run:

The play is much, much better with the Yakety Sax treatment, of course. Thanks to friend of the program Randall Sanders, a must-follow on Twitter:
Hello, everyone. @TheBlogfines suggested I make this and I generally listen to what he says, so… enjoy. #ElMago pic.twitter.com/ahaJtDkd9W

Baez also showed off his defensive skills with this ridiculous play in the first inning:

Oh, and Javy doesn’t know who The Beatles are.
Joe compared Javy to the Beatles tonight — couldn't decide which one.
"Who," Baez said?
The Beatles.
"Maybe if I see them. I'm terrible at names."
Told that's Maddon's latest comp, Baez said:
"That means I'm doing something good."
But you don't know who they are.
"No."

That’s okay, Javy. Keep up the fun baseballing.
