The Houston Astros lost in their Game 7 matchup against the Texas Rangers with a World Series bid on the line. And yet again, Republican Senator Ted Cruz was in attendance for the game, leading to many fans blaming him for the loss.
Ahead of the game on Monday, Cruz had been coined a bad luck charm for the Astros. Thus far this MLB postseason, the Astros had lost all four games that Cruz was in attendance.
Regardless, he was in attendance for the game at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas. And the game couldn’t have gone worse for the Astros.
The Astros were thoroughly dominated in the game, falling into a huge deficit early that they simply couldn’t crawl out of. The Rangers would go on to win the game 11-4 in a rather stress-free game for them.
The Rangers are heading to the World Series for the first time since 2011 with their dominant Game 7 win over the Astros.

Considering how good the Astros looked at points this postseason, the blowout loss simply wasn’t like them whatsoever. And naturally, Astros fans blamed Cruz for putting a “curse” on the team.
Shoutout Ted Cruz for cursing the Astros

Say what you will, but the Astros not winning one postseason game this year with Cruz in attendance is definitely very strange.
To say that it’s a curse may be a bit of a stretch, as there is plenty of blame to go around. The Astros pitching staff certainly deserves some…
Regardless, Cruz may be the scapegoat for Astros fans as they try to accept this devastating Game 7 loss.
