Mark Grudzielanek — who played 15 Major League Baseball seasons and was an All-Star in 1996 — is under police investigation for child abuse, according to TMZ.
TMZ reports that police documents show that the alleged victim is a 12-year-old boy, with Grudzielanek listed as an “offender.”
Sources tell TMZ that the “allegations stem from a physical altercation.”

In the docs, Grudzielanek — a 50-year-old who played in the MLB from 1995 to 2010 — is listed as an “offender” … and the alleged victim is described as a 12-year-old boy.
Details of the alleged incident are unclear … but a source close to the case tells us the allegations stem from a physical altercation.
Grudzielanek, 50, was a middle infielder for the Montreal Expos, Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Royals, and Cleveland Indians over his 15-year career. He was named to the NL All-Star team while with the Expos in 1996, and won an AL Gold Glove Award for his defense at second base with the Royals in 2006. He was a career .289/.332/.393 hitter.
He’s spent his post-playing career as a baseball coach, most recently managing the Charlotte Knights (Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox) from 2017-19.
