The New York Mets took down the Philadelphia Phillies 8-2 in the MLB Little League Classic on Sunday night. It’s the second edition of the now-annual MLB game at BB&T Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field, and it was a hot ticket around Williamsport, PA.
A few folks outside the stadium weren’t able to get tickets to the game (which is full of Little League players in attendance), so they just went ahead and built their own seating area.
The ESPN cameras caught these guys putting together scaffolding for a makeshift seating section over the left-center field wall, complete with some “cervezas” as Alex Rodriguez kept saying in a weird voice.
Not quite the rooftops outside of Wrigley Field, but nicely done (and free).
The Mets’ Austin Jackson took notice of these guys and their fine work, and rewarded them with a baseball.
We’ll see if they’re back for next year’s Little League World Classic, which will be between the Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates.

That is great I wish everyone was that willing to get what they want. What a great message to send to these young kids in the game
