Game 2 of the ALCS between the New York Yankees and the Houston Astros featured a viral incident with one fan running on the field.

The incident occurred in the top of the ninth inning as Astros closer Ryan Pressly was warming up on the field.

It was not shown on the broadcast for obvious reasons, but video has emerged of the incident on social media. The fan was seemingly trying to get a picture or at least talk to Astros second baseman Jose Altuve.

After a brief struggle with the security on the field, the fan was ultimately taken down and removed so that the ninth inning could get underway.

Incidents like this happen all the time in the MLB, but given the circumstances in a 3-2 game in the ninth inning, many were not enthused to see this incident holding up the action in the game.

It seems like the person who ran on the field was a fan of the Astros, so it makes it even more strange to see considering the break in action would seemingly harm Ryan Pressly.

Luckily for the other Astros fans in attendance, Pressly would go on to close the show and give Houston a 2-0 lead in the series over the Yankees.

It ultimately didn’t matter in the result, but Astros fans would certainly feel far differently towards this fan if the Yankees had gone on to score against Pressly in the ninth inning.
