The Los Angeles Dodgers have been absolutely incredible with two outs this postseason, and that trend continued in Game 4 of the World Series Saturday against the Tampa Bay Rays. Friday’s Game 3 (a 6-2 Dodgers’ victory) saw them add five two-out runs, reaching 50 in total this postseason (an all-time record). And they built on that further Saturday, with Justin Turner smashing a two-out home run in the first inning and Corey Seager swatting another two-out home run in the third:
That marks Seager’s eighth home run this postseason, putting him in some elite company:
Rays’ starter Ryan Yarbrough gave up a walk and a single after this, but then got Will Smith to ground out, so Tampa Bay escaped the third down just 2-0 still. But this was yet more proof that the Dodgers are extremely dangerous with two outs, and it extended their two-out run-scored postseason record to 52.
