The first game of the National League Division Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Atlanta Braves Thursday had quite the finish. The Braves were up 3-1 heading into the eighth inning, and had a 90 percent win probability, but then the Cardinals scored two runs on a solo home run from Paul Goldschmidt and a RBI single from Matt Carpenter. And in the ninth, St. Louis added four runs on down-the-line doubles from Yadier Molina and Kolten Wong (seen celebrating above), with Molina’s coming just inside the third-base line and Wong’s coming down the first-base line:

However, the Braves weren’t quite done yet. Billy Hamilton walked, and then Ronald Acuña Jr. and Freddie Freeman each hit home runs:

The Cardinals’ Carlos Martinez was able to get Josh Donaldson to ground out and then strike out Nick Markakis to end the game as a 7-6 road victory for St. Louis, though. Game 2 takes place tomorrow in Atlanta at 4:37 p.m. Eastern.
