With Hurricane Irma descending upon Florida in the upcoming days, the sports world is making accommodations where needed while the Houston region continues to recover from the impact of Hurricane Harvey. On Thursday night, someone in control of the in-stadium music with the Atlanta Braves exhibited some poor judgment that will likely lead to a stern lecture at the very least from the Braves PR department.
Between innings of a game between the Braves and Miami Marlins at SunTrust Park, Scorpions’ hit “Rock You Like a Hurricane” was blasted through the sound system. It’s a great song, and belongs on any stadium’s game day set list. Except for Thursday night, especially against Miami of all teams.
Braves just played "Like A Hurricane" between innings over the stadium PA. Not cool, Braves. Not cool.

Poor taste award tonight goes to the @braves. At the game against Miami and they're playing rock you like a hurricane between innings #irma

As you would expect, the Braves acted quickly on apologizing for this PR nightmare.
Braves official apologized, said "Rock You Like A Hurricane" is on home playlist, should have been pulled. Won't be played again this series

This seems like a simple and honest mistake and a mere slip of the mind in terms of public consciousness about the song and how it could potentially be received by the masses. But when the biggest story in the country is the upcoming arrival of a historic hurricane with Miami likely to be right in its path, something like this should have been avoided before it was too late.
