The Boston Red Sox took on the Detroit Tigers on Sunday afternoon, and Red Sox third baseman Luis Urias turned heads with a ridiculous defensive play that many fans certainly took notice of.
The play happened in the top of the eighth inning while the Tigers were attempting to come back from a 6-3 deficit.
Tigers outfielder Riley Greene seemingly got things off to a great start, lacing a line drive to left field that bounced off the Green Monster. He easily got to second base, but attempted to try his luck at legging out a triple, which would end up being a brutal mistake.
The relay throw into third base came in extremely off-line, and it didn’t look like Urias would be able to turn and get a good attempt on the tagging out Greene.
However, Urias unbelievably turned his body and threw his glove at the base without even looking at the runner or the base. And he miraculously was able to tag out Green before he slid head-first into third base.
You've probably seen a no-look throw before. But have you seen a no-look tag?

It was one heck of an effort from Urias to make the play and keep the Tigers out of scoring position. And fans were singing his praises on social media after recording the unlikely out.
What a play by Luis Urías.

This play would go a long way in helping the Red Sox come away with the win, as they would hold onto their 6-3 lead for the rest of the game.
