It took nine innings for the Toronto Blue Jays to get on the scoreboard against the Oakland A’s on Wednesday night, but fans that stuck around probably aren’t upset about the wait.
The Blue Jays went into the ninth inning down 2-0, but with one on, Justin Smoak extended the game, tying things up 2-2 with a home run.

Then, Kendrys Morales won the game with a home run on the very next pitch.

To make matters worse, the loss meant A’s manager Bob Melvin is still one win short of his 1,000th MLB win.
It’s been that kind of year in Oakland.
