A pair of fans at Tuesday’s game between the Kansas City Royals and Los Angeles Angels provided one of the best moments of the season.

Early in the game, Kansas City outfielder MJ Melendez tossed a ball into the right field stands. A fan caught the ball and after his initial excitement, he tossed the ball to a kid sitting in front of him. As we saw with an Aaron Judge home run in Toronto, giving a baseball to a kid is never a bad idea. And if the story stopped there, it would already be great. But the story didn’t stop there. It only got better.

Later in the game, Jared Walsh hit a home run to the same part of the bleachers The kid’s father came up with the ball and quickly gave it to his son. After some excitement of his own, the kid saw a perfect opportunity to repay the generosity.

The whole exchange caused the hearts of many MLB fans to melt.

If this exchange doesn’t bring a smile to your face, nothing will.

It does not get much better than this. These two fans provided a perfect pair of moments. We only hope that the Angels see it and find some way to recognize it.
