New manager, same result for the Los Angeles Angels.
Just hours after the Angels fired manager Joe Maddon, the team’s losing streak reached 13 games.
The Boston Red Sox beat the Halos 6-5 in 10 innings on Tuesday night at Angel Stadium, in Phil Nevin’s first game as interim manager for Los Angeles.
The Angels' losing streak is now up to 13 games.

The 13-game losing streak is a single-season franchise record for the Angels.
The Angels lost their 13th consecutive game tonight, a new single-season franchise record and tied with the 1985 Cubs for the longest skid by a team that was 10 games above .500 when the streak began.
Six of the Angels' 13 losses have come by a run, including the last two.

The Angels jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning and took a 5-3 lead into the sixth inning. After four runs through the game’s first three innings, the Angels’ offense went quiet.
Making matters worse, and potentially much worse depending on the severity: Angels superstar Mike Trout exited in the third inning with a groin injury. He’d hit a two-run homer and a double in his two at-bats before leaving the game.
Entering May 16, the Angels were 24-13. Now, they’re 27-30 with 13 straight losses. The Angels have plummeted to 9.5 games back of the Houston Astros in the AL West, and they’re 2.5 games back of the Red Sox for the third AL Wild Card slot.
