We regret to inform you that Angel Hernandez is at it again, and for some reason continues to keep his job as an MLB umpire.
Houston Astros manager AJ Hinch was ejected by Hernandez one pitch into the bottom of the first inning of a spring training game vs the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday.

Hinch spoke with the media after the game, and said Hernandez recently told him he gets “four calls wrong a game.”
The Astros manager didn’t agree with some ball/strike calls from Hernandez in the top of the first inning while Houston’s Forrest Whitley was on the mound, and said he had a “calm” conversation with Hernandez in between innings. Hinch said he let Hernandez know that “we have technology to get help you get better” at calling balls and strikes.
Well, Hinch disagreed with Hernandez’s call on the first pitch in the bottom of the first inning, and reportedly told Hernandez, “You’ve used all four [missed calls].” Hernandez then threw Hinch out of the game.
Hinch told the media that it was “pretty ridiculous” to be thrown out of a spring training game (and he’s certainly correct there). He added that Hernandez “said some condescending things that are inappropriate and unprofessional,” and that the Astros “will let the league know.”
Here’s video of Hinch explaining it all to the media:
That all sounds very, very much like Angel Hernandez.
That’s just Angel being Angel. He has to get ready for the season too.
