Before the Minnesota Twins’ home opener on Thursday with the Seattle Mariners, a bald eagle tried to give Minnesota a boost by attacking Mariners starting pitcher James Paxton.
Paxton was alright, despite the attack. He made the start for the Mariners and retired the first four batters in order.
By the way, Paxton is Canadian. Maybe the eagle knew and wasn’t happy about a Canadian starting for the Twins’ opponent in their home opener.
I wonder if a bald eagle attack breaks an unwritten rule of baseball. Brian Dozier, your thoughts?
