Tiger Woods wears a pin honoring his mother Kultida, who died two weeks ago. He spoke his loss after playing a match against New York Golf Club at SoFi Center at Palm Beach State College on February 18, 2025, in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Tiger Woods is one of the most decorated athletes of all time and arguably the greatest golfer to ever pick up clubs. However, as undeniably great as Woods is, even the most revered goflers can find themselves humbled by the sport.

That’s just what happened on Tuesday night when Woods’ Jupiter Links Golf took on the New York Golf Club in a regular-season matchup. Woods made a brutal mistake toward the end of the match that everyone is talking about, and highlighted how close he may be to the end of his storied career.

In the middle of a blowout loss, Woods got ready for a 194-yard shot into a Par 4. However, he misheard his teammates during the setup and thought he was getting ready for a 99-yard shot.

Afterward, Woods acknowledged that it was one of the lowest moments of his career.

“One of the most embarrassing moments of my career,” he said.

Fans reacted to the massive gaffe on social media.

“Why does Tiger look so old here?” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“So you can’t tell there’s a 100 yard gap? Inspiring,” one fan added.

“tough break, but I guess even legends make mistakes sometimes,” another fan wrote.

Hopefully, Tiger turns things around before the upcoming Masters.
