Sports world reacts to brutal LIV Golf news

LIV Golf became the subject of brutal jokes once again on Thursday, this time at the 2023 PGA Championship.

Last weekend, the LIV Golf tour’s Tulsa event went on but got interrupted during coverage of the event. Several CW affiliates switched broadcasts away from the event across the country. Funnily enough, it came after former President Donald Trump remarked about the Tulsa event on Truth Social.

The PGA Championship at Oak Hill teed off on Thursday. Evidently, broadcaster Jim Nantz had one prepared for us all after the shenanigans. After LIV golfer Dustin Johnson teed off, Nantz let one rip.

He said, “Not sure if you had a chance to see it, but he was the winner last week in Tulsa.”

Woof! That’s quite the heat to take and quite the zinger from Nantz also. The sports world reacted to the brutal shot, yet another in a long line of them. Many of them weren’t pretty.

“Oooh, BURN!” one user tweeted.

“Even when he’s petty, he does it smoothly,” one user noted of Nantz and the shots he takes at LIV Golf.

“Jim Nantz has jokes????” one user asked. Apparently so!

“Jim has been SAVAGE with LIV, truly incredible stuff,” another user tweeted.

Another tough break for LIV Golf and this one wasn’t interrupted by anything either.
