Just about every professional golfer is faced with a fundamental question these days: PGA Tour or LIV Golf? Many golfers have made their pick on either side and now that question is being asked of Jordan Spieth.
Thursday, a Twitter account called Spieth Legion tweeted that, per Golf Monthly, Spieth was “in talks and considering an offer from LIV Golf.”

That would be quite the name for the Saudi-backed golf league to snap up. Spieth was the 2015 FedEx Cup champion, not to mention a former Masters, U.S. Open, and Open Championship winner. Adding his name to the likes of Phil Mickelson, Brooks Koepka, Sergio Garcia, and Bryson DeChambeau would give the upstart league even more credibility, which is what it’s most after.
Naturally, a lot of people around the golf world started wondering how true this rumor was and whether or not it was actually happening. All it took was a call to Spieth’s agent to confirm that there was no truth to this rumor.
“Jordan is not in discussions with LIV and is fully supportive of and happy on the PGA Tour,” Spieth’s agent Jay Danzi told the actual Golf Monthly.
Spieth infamously appeared to give Kevin Na the cold shoulder at the U.S. Open in June after Na defected to the LIV Golf.
Spieth, who won the Valero Texas Open last year, is hoping to kickstart his golfing career after failing to make good on the promise he showed between 2015 and 2017. And it appears that he’ll continue to try that on the PGA Tour.
