Rory McIlroy and LIV Golf have been at odds, but would LIV bring the star golfer aboard? Greg Norman believes so.

LIV Golf figurehead Greg Norman believes so. He and McIlroy have gotten into a war of words through the media in the past. And by a war of words, of course, we mean that McIlroy literally wants LIV Golf to oust Norman from the company.

Norman, however, is open to McIlroy joining the tour.

The CEO of LIV Golf commented to UK golf publication Bunkered on if they would bring him in. “Our door is open for everybody,” Norman said via GOLF.com. He continued, “We’re not the PGA Tour. We’re not like that. We exist for the players, so we will always have an open door, whether that’s for Rory or Jordan Spieth or Justin Thomas or whoever.”

Based on McIlroy’s recent comments, don’t expect the four-time PGA Tour major winner to join the LIV Golf Tour anytime soon of course. But these remain surprising remarks by Norman because of the criticism McIlroy’s dished out to the CEO and the controversial tour.

LIV Golf recently was in the news after a major shakeup at the top. A top executive on the tour resigned from his position. President and Chief Operating Officer Atul Khosla was identified as the executive to resign from his post.
