United States President Donald Trump has plunged the United States economy into chaos. Trump recently announced tariffs on a number of foreign countries, and the United States stock market is crashing as a result.
However, rather than deal with things in Washington, Trump jetted to Florida for the weekend for a LIV Tour golf event.
“After launching economic chaos and uncertainty with his tariffs, Trump now heads to FL for the rest of the week to host a Saudi-owned LIV golf tournament,” reported Meidas Touch’s Rob Filipkowski.
Trump also got some golfing of his own done over the weekend as he participated in a golf tournament. A video of Trump working on his swing even made the rounds on social media.
Many people on social media noted that Trump’s swing looked pretty horrible.
“The only thing worse than his presidency is his golf game,” one person wrote on Twitter.
“Why does he look so pathetic after all these years of golfing?” someone else wanted to know.
However, in a shocking turn of events, Trump won the tournament he participated in, so long as his word can be trusted.
“Very good because I won,” he says when asked how the tournament was. “It’s good to win. You heard I won, right?” Trump said about the tournament, according to reporter Emily Goodin.
People reacted to the news on social media.
“I went out on a limb yesterday & predicted Trump would win big today. If only we were sure he would win with #TrumpTariffs,” one person wrote on Twitter.
“When he has to defend this crash he’s going to weave mid-sentence and defend this golf tournament instead,” someone else added.
It’ll be interesting to see how Trump responds to the failing stock market now that his golf outing is finished.
