Former American president Donald Trump faces mounting legal threats in at least four jurisdictions. However, thanks to his popularity with Republican voters, Trump is able to offset his legal costs through his robust fundraising.

Other Trump associates, like former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, aren’t as lucky. Giuliani recently got indicted right next to Trump for an alleged scheme attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election in the state of Georgia, which current president Joe Biden won handily to the surprise of many political observers.

Giuliani, who has other legal problems besides the Georgia case which could send him to prison for the rest of his life, is making a “personal and desperate” plea to Trump to help with his ballooning legal bills.

According to Kaitlan Collins and Paula Reid of CNN, Giuliani and his personal attorney traveled to Mar-a-Largo in recent months to make a face-to-face appeal as to why Trump needed to assist his former attorney.

Despite multiple attempts, Trump reportedly “didn’t seem very interested” despite a verbal agreement to help with “some” of Giuliani’s bills without offering any specific amount or timeline.

Trump, for his part, seems more intent on promoting his prowess on the golf course at the moment. On Saturday, he posted a video to Truth Social of him hitting an 8-iron for 160 yards within 10 feet of the hole. He missed the putt and made par on the 16th hole of his Bedminster course.
