Former United States President Bill Clinton may enjoy playing golf, but that doesn’t mean he’s necessarily a good and honest competitor.
During a recent interview with conservative political commentator Tucker Carlson, PGA Tour superstar John Daly recounted his time playing golf with former presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump. And during the interview, Daly revealed that Clinton is not exactly the most honest guy on the course.
“Did [Bill] Clinton cheat at golf?” Carlson asked Daly. “Is that true?”
“Oh yeah,” Daly responded emphatically. “Bill, he would take the club back and say ‘Oh [shoot], give me another ball.’ Before he even hit the first one, he’d throw another one down. But he never kept score.”
Obviously, this admission from Daly led to a lot of reactions on social media.

But from how Daly describes Clinton’s golf game, it sounds like he needs to cheat to stay competitive.
“He needs to take up tennis,” Daly said. “He’s horrible.”
But even if he isn’t very good, Clinton still obviously loves to play. And Daly didn’t see anything wrong with that. In fact, he supported it.
“Yeah, and that’s okay,” Daly said. “Hey, there’s a lot of people that never get it and are never good at it, but they love it. Keep playing. If it’s something you love to do, and go out and do it, it’s a great game.”
