It’s been a wild Saturday in the world of college football and even though the mighty Alabama Crimson Tide aren’t expected to make too many highlights against UL-Monroe, linebacker Will Anderson certainly wowed fans with his pick-six interception return.

With Alabama up 7-0, the Warhawks needed to make something happen and avoid any mistakes. Unfortunately, they made the worst mistake possible when the quarterback’s pass was tipped in the air and right into Anderson’s arms. He then rumbled into the endzone for a pick-six touchdown return to make it 14-0.

It was Anderson’s first interception and the first touchdown at Alabama and the college football world loved seeing the big guy rumble down the field and score.

It was the second notable “thicc-six” on the day at Syracuse DT Caleb Okechukwu earned a score of his own in a very similar manner.

It’s not as though Anderson needs to add anything to his Heisman-caliber resume. He won the 2021 Bronko Nagurski Trophy as a sophomore after leading the nation in sacks with 17.5, was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Year, and was voted a unanimous All-American last year. It looks like he’s ready to provide quite the encore as a junior and the fact that he’s adding inteceptions to his repertoire should scare opponents further.
