Three-time national champion coach Urban Meyer made an official return to Ohio State’s campus on Saturday as part of Fox’s Big Noon Saturday Kickoff.
The gang was in town to preview the Ohio State Buckeyes‘ eventual win against the Iowa Hawkeyes. Before the game, Meyer declared his former team as No. 1 in the country while fans serenaded him with chants of “Urban! Urban! Urban!” He signed autographs later at Ohio Stadium.
“Look how happy coach is,” former Notre Dame Fighting Irish quarterback Brady Quinn said of Meyer during the broadcast.
Neutral and opponent fans, however, were quick to roast Meyer’s dark sunglasses.
The CFB world was quick to react to Meyer’s return to campus since his firing with the Jacksonville Jaguars:

I was very confused by Ohio State looking flat against an inferior Big Ten team and then they showed Urban Meyer on the sideline and it all made sense

“What if Urban Meyer’s personal hell is him having to do Michigan for every Big Noon Saturday and then watching Ohio State struggle against Iowa at home during the bye week?” one fan wrote.
“Urban Meyer is back in Columbus for the Ohio State x Iowa game. Matrix-[esque] glasses and all,” Zachary Rilley wrote.
