The Colorado Buffaloes and head coach Deion Sanders shocked many with their upset win in Week 1 over the TCU Horned Frogs. And that win could net them a massive recruit who was seemingly impressed with what he saw from them.

Belleville High School quarterback Bryce Underwood is the No. 1 quarterback recruit in the 2025 high school class, coming in as the No. 4 high school recruit in the entire 2025 class.

Underwood has a number of high-profile teams in contention to land him, including the Michigan Wolverines, the Alabama Crimson Tide, and the LSU Tigers.

The native of Belleville, Michigan, is projected by most to eventually be headed to Michigan to play for head coach Jim Harbaugh. However, a new contender has emerged for him after Colorado’s big win in Week 1.

Underwood’s father told 247 Sports that his son will be visiting Colorado for their Week 5 game against the USC Trojans.

This is expected to be one of the biggest games of the year for Colorado, and it has just got even bigger as it could go a long way towards convincing Underwood to commit to the Buffaloes.

Fans took to social media to offer their opinion on the news.

Part of the reason that Deion Sanders went to Colorado was that he could build this Buffaloes program his way and attract big-name prospects as he did with star dual-threat player Travis Hunter.

If he can bring in a player like Underwood, he may be well on his way to building a college football powerhouse that Colorado football fans have been begging for.
