The Deion Sanders craze feels eerily similar to that of Tim Tebow in the 2010s. So, it only feels right that Tebow, now a regular contributor and co-host for SEC Network’s college football programming, would offer up his take on the unprecedented turnaround that Colorado has undergone under Sanders’ leadership.

Sanders is the biggest storyline in CFB and Tebow gave his reaction and discussed why he’s been so successful in Boulder.

“I love it, but I also love it because he’s doing it his way,” Tebow told Nick Kosko. “I love it because he’s doing it with such passion and love and belief and build-up of young men. I think that’s something that sometimes gets missed. Look at what he says to them. Look at what the way he’s able to believe in them, pour into them.

“You know, I think if you were to talk to a lot of his players, they believe they can do more and accomplish more after they’ve been around him than before. That’s a sign of a good coach. That’s a sign of building confidence. That’s a sign of encouragement, real encouragement. And I love that. I love that he talks about being ready for the moment. He doesn’t shy away from it and I love that. I think his players feed off of that. I think you will continue to see more players be intrigued by the way he’s doing it because I think there are a lot of players that want to have pressure on them, but they also want to be encouraged and inspired at the moment.”

Tebow touted the way that “Prime” has his team play on third or fourth down or even in the red zone.

“The moments when you could either rise to the occasion or shrink under pressure and man, they rise to the occasion,” he said. “I think that’s really a good sign of a team playing inspired and fearless.”

Colorado will be back in action this Saturday when it plays host to rival, Colorado State.
