The Texas Longhorns have extremely high expectations heading into their third season under head coach Steve Sarkisian. It’s obviously unclear if they will live up to the hype, but fans are clearly as eager as ever to find out.
Texas has always been regarded as having some of the most passionate fans in all of college football. It seems like they have taken things to a whole new level.
According to Front Office Sports, Texas has sold out all of its 68,000 season tickets ahead of the upcoming 2023 season. This is the most in school history ahead of a college football season.
There is plenty to be excited about for Texas fans heading into the season. They are notably bringing in high school phenom Arch Manning, who will seemingly start the year as a backup behind Quinn Ewers to begin the year.
This is also Texas’s final season in the Big 12 before they depart for the SEC for the 2024 season, so fans must be extremely eager to see the final rivalry games in the conference while they are still a part of the Big 12.
Texas fans on social media certainly didn’t seem shocked at this report. Many echoed the sentiments of being very eager for the start of the upcoming season.
