Heading into the offseason, Lane Kiffin has arguably the most fascinating quarterback situation in the entire country at Ole Miss as he returns starting quarterback Jaxson Dart, but is now bringing in two more star quarterbacks to compete with him.

According to a report from college football reporter and analyst Chris Low of ESPN, former Oklahoma State star quarterback Spencer Sanders is transferring to the Ole Miss Rebels to play for Lane Kiffin, just days after five-star transfer Walker Howard announced the same thing.

Another huge portal get for @Lane_Kiffin. QB Spencer Sanders tells ESPN he will play for @OleMissFB in 2023. His choice came down to Ole Miss and Auburn. Rebels had already landed 5-star QB Walker Howard. Sanders was a 4-year starter for @CowboyFB and accounted for 85 career TDs,” Low said in a tweet.

It’s a massive move setting up a wild offseason in Ole Miss.

“This is a wild quarterback room,” college football personality Adam Kramer said in a tweet.

“Lane Kiffin reshaping the quarterback room with Spencer Sanders and Walker Howard to add to Jaxson Dart, who was the starter this past year,” Tom VanHaaren of ESPN said in a tweet.

“Ole Miss has been heavily in the mix with Spencer Sanders from the beginning of his process, and eventually the Rebels get their guy. This creates, arguably, the most fascinating QB room in the country. Sanders, Jaxson Dart and Walker Howard all in the same place,” Chris Hummer of 247Sports said in a tweet.

“I’m sure having 3 QBs on the roster that are all expecting to start will go really well,” Arkansas Sportscaster John Nabors said in a tweet.

“Ole Miss adding the two best available QBs in the portal this week. Clearly an open competition going forward. Very interesting choice by Spencer Sanders,” Max Olson of The Athletic said in a tweet.

We’ll have to see how this works out for Kiffin and Ole Miss.
