Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning is gearing up for his first full season as the starter in Austin, TX, after serving as the backup to Quinn Ewers for his first two seasons of collegiate ball.

Manning comes from a rich pedigree, with his uncles, Peyton and Eli Manning, both starring and winning multiple Super Bowls in the NFL. Arch seems poised to live up to all the hype, especially considering a shocking admission from one of his uncles, following his performance at the annual Manning Passing Academy.

“I’m excited to watch Arch play,” Peyton said. “He threw the ball really well at the camp. He and Garrett Nussmeier at our three throwing expeditions really threw the ball well — all the quarterbacks throw the ball well. It’s impressive.

“They make throws that I can’t even think about making. Arch made a throw the other day that I’d have to hit the cutoff man to get the ball to the actual receiver.”

Nussmeier also spoke highly of what he saw from Arch.

“Obviously we’re both high-level competitors,” he said of Arch, per ESports Insider. “We both play for two schools have the same goal. We know and both plan to compete for the same goal. I’m definitely rooting for Arch. I think he’s a really good player. I love his swagger. I love his confidence, and I’m very excited to see his first season start, and I think he’s going to tear it up.”

Nussmeier said that he thoroughly enjoyed his time at the passing academy.

“It’s an awesome experience,” he said. “This is my third year at the Manning Passing Academy, just to be around all the guys across the country. There’s a lot of relationships there with guys that I’ve known for a long time, and to build new ones as well.

“This is a really, really, really good opportunity to get around a lot of like-minded guys and pick their brains,” Nussmeier added. “Also, to get around Eli and Peyton and Mr. Archie and talk to them about different things. It’s a really cool experience.”
