The Ohio State Buckeyes are gearing up for their national championship title defense. Unfortunately for the Buckeyes, things haven’t exactly gone hiccup-free thus far for the reigning national champions.
Earlier this week, the Buckeyes were hosted by United States President Donald Trump at the White House to commemorate their championship. In a brutal twist, Vice President JD Vance broke the national championship trophy into two separate pieces when he attempted to hoist the trophy during a photo op.
Now, the Buckeyes are facing more bad news.
“The University of Oregon is suing Ohio State running backs coach Carlos Locklyn for breach of contract, claiming he owes a buyout of $400,000,” reported Eleven Warriors on Wednesday.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“Oh I thought they were suing him for what he taught trey Henderson to do to them,” one fan wrote on Twitter, referencing the dominant performance the Ohio State running backs had against the Oregon Ducks in the Rose Bowl.
“They mad he embarrassed them on national television in their biggest game in their history,” another fan added.
“Would they have sued if they would have won the Rose Bowl?” one person wanted to know.
It’ll be interesting to see how the lawsuit unfolds.
