It’s safe to say that this weekend did not go according to plan for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish as they lost a heartbreaking game after the Ohio State Buckeyes scored a go-ahead touchdown with just one second remaining on the clock. But Fighting Irish star running back Audric Estime knows the team has to bounce back in a big way this week.
Notre Dame doesn’t have time to sulk after the loss as the team now has a top-20 road matchup with the Duke Blue Devils this weekend. And it sounds like Estime is expecting the Fighting Irish to bounce back in a big way in that game.
“We’re Notre Dame, every game for us is a big game,” Notre Dame running back Audric Estime said during Tuesday’s episode of Andy Staples On3. “It’s definitely a big game for them. We know they’re going to come out with all they got. But so are we.
“We’re going to come out on fire.”
Duke is undefeated this year after a season-opening win over the Clemson Tigers. They’ll undoubtedly be looking for another signature win at home this week, but Notre Dame is looking to get back on track and keep their potential national title hopes alive.
We’ll have to see who gets the big win in the matchup.
