Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban is no stranger to signing lucrative business deals and contracts as he is likely the highest-paid college football head coach of all time. But a recent business deal he took part in likely has a much bigger price tag than any of his other previous involvements.

This week, Automotive News reported that Nick Saban was part of a group that purchased two Mercedes-Benz dealers in South Florida in a deal that is worth about $700 million.

The group, which is called Dream Motor Group, is owned by Saban along with former Mercedes-Benz USA CEO Steve Cannon and CEO Joe Agresti and it marks their first move into Florida.

“It’s a big deal. This much Mercedes-Benz volume all at once in one fell swoop is rare,” Agresti said according to Automotive News.

It’s a pretty eye-popping deal for the college football icon, and people had a lot to say about it on social media as a result.

This certainly isn’t Saban’s first multi-million dollar connection to South Florida as he recently completed the purchase of a massive $17.5 million oceanfront mansion on Jupiter Island in South Florida. So it seems that once he’s done coaching, he’ll have both business and pleasure in South Florida.
