Many college football fans are interested in where former Ohio State quarterback Kyle McCord will land after entering the transfer portal earlier this week. And he may not have to travel too far for a potential landing spot, as a fellow Big Ten team has already seemingly expressed interest in the junior quarterback.

McCord wasn’t able to get the Buckeyes to the promised land this season. They fell short against the Michigan Wolverines and missed out on a College Football Playoff spot because of it.

That being said, McCord did have a pretty productive year for Ohio State. McCord finished with 3,170 passing yards along with 24 touchdowns and six interceptions.

This should lead to McCord receiving some pretty significant interest from college football teams. And that interest has already started to pour in from a team in his old conference.

According to Steven Sipple of On3 Sports, the Nebraska Cornhuskers have already had discussions with McCord.

Nebraska struggled pretty heavily in their first year under head coach Matt Rhule this season, going 5-7 on the year and missing out on a bowl game bid.

That being said, they are certainly a team that could use a player like McCord to help rebuild their program.

There will likely be plenty more teams to reach out to McCord as he weighs all of his options in the transfer portal. But Nebraska at least seems like an intriguing fit for the former Ohio State quarterback looking for a new home.
