Kentucky quarterback Will Levis did not look good Saturday on the field, and the hits kept coming later, as fans unleashed a torrent of “overrated” posts about him on social media.
The Wildcats star completed only 11-of-23 attempts for 109 yards and an interception as Vanderbilt shocked No. 24 Kentucky, 24-21. Not a good day, certainly not for a player considered one of the top NFL Draft prospects — perhaps the No. 1 overall pick — in 2023.
While Saturday’s game might not hurt his prospects, Levis certainly didn’t help his cause, either. And it’s not as if Vanderbilt came in as some unbeatable powerhouse. The Commodores had lost 26 straight SEC games dating to 2019. Kentucky entered the game as 18-point favorites, playing at home.
Everything seemed ripe for Levis to have a strong outing. He did not, and fans were merciless on social media throughout the game and beyond.
“There’s your QB1 in the NFL Draft,” tweeted Unnecessary Roughness, along with a video of Levis throwing incomplete into double coverage.
“Some NFL team is going to talk itself into using a first round pick on Will Levis … and boy is that going to be a mistake,” tweeted Josh Schrock.

Will Levis is 10/20, 102 yards… against VANDY. Why are people still so high on this dude?!

Will Levis had under 100 total yards against Vandy and i’m supposed to believe he’s a first round pick

Will Levis should shut it down rest of the season

It doesn’t get any easier for Levis. His next game is against No. 1 Georgia on Nov. 19.
