Alabama quarterback recruit Julian Saylin has been turning heads these past few weeks, so much so that the star quarterback has moved up on the recruiting list when it comes to player rankings.
Sayin, who was a four-star prospect, has moved up the rankings and now is a five-star QB according to the recruiting service 247 Sports.
Sayin’s leap has a lot to do with his development over the past few months and the fact he was the MVP of the Elite 11 Finals turned a lot of heads too.
“There was a time when we viewed Sayin as more of a high-floor prospect with maybe not a ton of developmental upside, but that is no longer the case,” 247Sports analyst Andrew Ivins wrote. “He’s got clean mechanics and showed in a competitive setting that he can make a variety of different high-level throws while some of his peers struggled. A further review of Sayin’s on-field resume at Carlsbad also has us bullish on his game.”
Saylin was highly sought after by the likes of Georgia, LSU, and Michigan.
It’s understandable why Saylin picked Alabama over the other three schools. Currently, the school has four starting quarterbacks in the NFL and they all also have national championship rings too either as the starter or backup.
Alabama has become the place where elite quarterbacks go.
