Alabama received some much-needed good news. Reports are that Crimson Tide wide receiver Jermaine Burton plans to return to the team next year.

Burton started off slow for the Tide but toward the end of the season, he and quarterback Bryce Young seem to have gotten into a rhythm and he become a huge part of the Tide’s offense.

Burton ended the regular season with 590 yards and six touchdowns. He also averaged almost 16 yards per catch.

Burton reportedly said he wants to continue to “fight with my brothers” and “go to war with them again.”

This is good news for Alabama who is going to lose three wideouts to the transfer portal,  Traeshon Holden, Christian Leary, and JoJo Earle.

So they can use all the experience they can get next year if like many expect that Young plans to head to the NFL next year.

Burton had gotten in trouble earlier this season when it was reported that he had slapped a Tennessee fan after the Vol fans stormed the field after their victory over Alabama.

Many fans, including some Alabama fans, were outraged when Burton returned to the field the following week instead of receiving a harsh punishment from head coach Nick Saban.

Saban later told reporters that if they heard the whole situation, they would have made the same decision.
