The SEC will have several great quarterbacks playing this season, including Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart who is considered by many to be the best in the league, if not the country.

However, Dart seems to think another SEC signal-caller should be in the mix for the best quarterback in the country: Alabama’s Jalen Milroe.

“He’s a monster,” Dart said Tuesday. “He definitely is a guy who passes the eye test from the physical ability. He’s been a stud and he’s going to be a baller for them this year for sure.”

Last season, Milroe was benched after a loss to the Texas Longhorns. However, he bounced back and led Alabama to the SEC Championship Game against the Georgia Bulldogs en route to the College Football Playoff.

Dart also complimented Milroe on the type of personality he has off the field as well.

“He’s also a very genuine dude,” Dart added.

Dart found out firsthand how good Milroe was when he led the Crimson Tide over the Rebels, 24-10, last year. Milroe threw for 224 yards and one touchdown and cemented his spot as the starting Tide’s quarterback for the rest of the season.

Missouri Tigers quarterback Brady Cook also had high praise for Milroe.

“First of all, unbelievable person,” Cook said. “You could just tell talking to him immediately, such a cool personality. He’s always smiling. Vibrant. Just the way he interacts with people. He’s not too big for anyone. He’s not too cool for anyone. So I really appreciate his character.”

Cook also said that Milroe is an “unbelievable athlete.”

“He could win a game alone with his legs,” Cook said. “I think his arm strength is one of his biggest things. He can rip it. He can make any throw on the field.”
