Say this much about Desmond Howard: The former Michigan Wolverines Heisman Trophy winner is enjoying his alma mater’s first win over the Ohio State Buckeyes since 2011.
After infamously taking a potshot at Ohio State’s offensive line during the Heisman Trophy presentation last December, Howard couldn’t resist needling his lifetime rival about what he perceived as their schedule of cupcakes entering Week 6.
Ohio State is slated to play the Michigan State Spartans in East Lansing on Saturday afternoon.
“Desmond Howard asks ‘when do we get to welcome Ohio State back to the college football season?’ regarding the Buckeyes’ strength of schedule on College GameDay. David Pollack replies ‘when do we get to welcome Michigan to the college football season?'” tweeted WKYC reporter Ben Axelrod.

“Everyone knows this but and just rolls their eyes at him. It’s not even interesting. This is literally all he brings, completely replaceable. No idea why he continues to be employed,” one Ohio State fan tweeted.
“There are many things wrong with College Gameday ever since they went ungodly corporate less than ten years ago. But Desmond is high up on the list of why the show sucks now,” said one user.
“Trolling is a fine art and desmond is stuck playing with crayons,” said another Ohio State fan.
“I don’t know when it happened, but Desmond has become just a professional troll and you kinda have to respect it,” said a fan.
“Even in his old age and declining health, Lee Corso brings more to College GameDay than Desmond does. He’s so unbelievably ass week in and week out,” Austin Elmore said.
Ohio State and Michigan play in 49 days.
