Deion Sanders knew better than anyone else.
His son, Shedeur, is a beast.
The Colorado Buffaloes began the Deion Sanders coaching era Saturday with a wild 45-42 upset win on the road against the No. 17 TCU Horned Frogs.
Junior quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who followed his father to Colorado after starring at HBCU Jackson State, immediately proved he’s got the talent to dominate at the NCAA’s top level.
Sanders threw for a Colorado-record 510 yards and four touchdowns, making it look easy by completing 38-of-47 passes.
Sanders put up some big numbers in his two seasons at Jackson State playing for his father, but NCAA’s FBS division was supposed to pose a bigger challenge to him.
He might still encounter some struggles at this level, but Sanders looked other-worldly against a good TCU team. Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre took notice, tweeting, “Shedeur is an elite QB and my early Heisman winner!!”
Favre isn’t the only fan who got wowed Saturday by Shedeur Sanders.
Let’s wait til they play conference games. This tcu team is a shell of last year. USC is in town in a month… we shall see.
