Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes got back into the win column on Saturday night. The Buffaloes defeated the Arizona Sun Devils, 27-24, ending a two-game losing streak midway through the season.
Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders, one of two sons of Deion playing on the team, had another solid day at the office. He completed 26 of his 42 pass attempts (61.9%) for 239 yards and a touchdown. He also added a touchdown on the ground, though he finished with -17 yards on 11 carries with a long rush of 16 yards on the day.
Despite the close win on the road over a one-win team in Arizona State, Shedeur marked the occasion as soon as the game ended by jogging to the Arizona State student section to flash his watch at them.
The moment was caught on camera:
The college football world was quick to react to the controversial move by the Buffaloes quarterback:
you can do this when you’re Deion because you’re the best. Shedeur is nowhere near the best. rude awakening coming. https://t.co/U8umeiZJ8X

Deion Sanders, for his part, was left frustrated with his team’s performance after escaping Tempe with the win.
“I apologize for my anger today, but I don’t expect mediocrity,” Sanders said afterward, according to USA Today, adding that he’s “sick of it.”
“I’ve delivered every type of message you can fathom,” he said. “It’s not just the team. This is all of us. This is me and the coaches included.”
