The LSU Tigers suffered a disappointing loss this week when they fell to the Alabama Crimson Tide. It’s been a disappointing season overall for the Tigers as they entered the season as College Football Playoff contenders but have now suffered three losses on the season. Obviously, that’s led to some criticism online for some of his players, but head coach Brian Kelly doesn’t want his players to worry about that.

During a recent interview session, Brian Kelly made it clear that he wants his players to avoid the “crazies” on social media that could serve as a distraction.

“I think these guys understand that there are natural distractions out there and most of them are through social media and what is written. And it’s not just from the media, it’s from the crazies that are on Twitter and things of that nature that are uninformed. So you just have to eliminate these distractions during the season and focus on what you can control. And I think I’ve gotta do a pretty good job of that,” Kelly said on the SEC coaches teleconference on Wednesday according to On3.

It’s definitely a world where players face plenty of criticism on social media as fans have unprecedented access to players, and it’s best to teach players to ignore it.
