The LSU Tigers fell to the Ole Miss Rebels on Saturday afternoon by a score of 55 to 49 after surrendering four fourth-quarter touchdowns to Ole Miss. Head coach Brian Kelly was not happy with the team’s performance, and he doesn’t think his team should be satisfied, either.
During his postgame press conference, Brian Kelly had a pretty brutal message for his team, letting them know that the way they played on Saturday was not acceptable.
“We need to be pissed off about what happened and have some resolve about our circumstance,” Brian Kelly said after the game according to On3. “That’s not a standard of play that’s acceptable.”
So following the loss, Kelly expects the team to bounce back during practice.
“So, I expect them to respond the right way. They’ve got a lot of pride. They play for LSU. They know that that’s not the standard and I expect them to come back Monday ready to make sure that they address and we address as coaches the things that we need to do better as well,” Kelly said.
LSU entered the season as a preseason national title contender, but after losses to Florida State and Ole Miss in the first few weeks of the season, they’re now likely on the outside looking in at the College Football Playoff.
