A Final Four appearance can do wonders for a program’s recruiting.
The San Diego State Aztecs, fresh off the first Final Four appearance in school history, landed a huge transfer Tuesday. College basketball insider Kris Johnson reported that guard Reese Dixon-Waters, who played his first two seasons with the USC Trojans, is transferring to SDSU.
Dixon-Waters, the Pac-12 Sixth Player of the Year last season, averaged 9.8 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
Dixon-Waters is a career 36% shooter from 3-point range and a strong defender. The 6-5 player was the No. 50 overall ranked prospect in his high school class, according to 247.comSports.
It’s didn’t take long after the news broke for Dixon-Waters highlights to start popping up on Twitter.
Aztecs fans were thrilled by the news and college basketball analysts think it’s a big win for the Aztecs.
