Michigan State University Police announced that three people are dead and at least five are injured after a shooting on campus in East Lansing on Monday night.

Update: “It appears [the male suspect] has died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound,” and “there is no longer a threat to campus and the shelter in-place has been lifted,” according to Michigan State University Police.

The Michigan State Police and Public Safety Twitter account(@msupolice) is releasing live updates on the situation.

Additionally, Michigan State Police announced that “all campus activities are canceled for 48 hours, including athletics, classes, and all campus-related activities. Please DO NOT come to campus [Tuesday].”

The Michigan State Spartans were scheduled to host Minnesota on Wednesday night in Big Ten men’s basketball, to go with hosting Drake in men’s tennis. The Michigan State women’s basketball team was scheduled for a road game at Purdue on Wednesday night.
