Let’s face it, many boxing fans were thrilled by the results of Sunday’s bout between Tommy Fury and Jake Paul.
Fury defeated Paul in an eight-round, split decision in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, handing the YouTube star his first defeat as a boxer. Officials scored the fight 74-75, 76-73, 76-73 in Fury’s favor. A majority of the fans in attendance were also cheering for Fury.
Paul, the YouTube star-turned-fighter, entered the fight with a 6-0 mark, with four knockouts. With each win, the number of detractors cheering against him seemed to grow. Fury, the half-brother of heavyweight great Tyson Fury, entered the bout unbeaten at 8-0 and posed the stiffest challenge yet to Paul.
Immediately after the fight, both fighters agreed to a rematch.
Boxing fans had a wide range of reactions to the Fury-Paul results.
I bet Tommy Fury will Fight Jake Paul at Wembley in the summer in a rematch. #PaulFury

Besides the knockdown, Paul looked well out his depth in that fight. He looked slow and clumsy. Takes a lot to make Tommy Fury look good, but he pulled it off.

Even with the knockdown, Tommy Fury won that comfortably.
A rematch will likely happen but it’s not necessary… a very one-sided fight barring the odd solid punch from Jake Paul.
Fair play to Tommy, delivered with huge pressure on him. #PaulFury #boxing

Literally don’t know what people were watching to say that was a close fight. Fury outboxed him plain and simple, the drop was more of a slip at the end but that was the only round Paul won in my book.
