New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge had yet to get on the board in 2024. The man who hit 62 home runs in the 2022 MLB season went homerless in the Yankees’ first series against the Houston Astros.

Then Judge went without a homer in the Bronx Bombers’ first two games against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Judge only had three recorded hits in 29 plate appearances. An unusual slump may have troubled some Yankee fans. However, on Wednesday, Judge finally ended his home run drought.

In their series finale, the 2022 American League Most Valuable Player stepped up to bat against the DBacks. With the roof wide open and the sun shining, Judge rocketed one the opposite way for his first home run this season.

Not only that, Judge also hit it poolside! While we didn’t get a straight-up splash down, Judge’s home run careened off the railing near the pool and appeared to ricochet in off the rebound on the wall.

While not quite as much fun as it would have been had the ball landed in the pool, or maybe not as fun as a splash down in San Francisco, Judge’s home run was still impressive. It’s the kind of blast the slugger’s become known for, and Yankee fans can breathe a sigh of relief. While Judge didn’t have much power to start the year, it seems he’s gotten back into it slowly but surely.
